It's so weird, I don't hate uma musume but the western fans. I've been playing uma jp since release and it irritates me so much how it feels like everyone is band wagonning. I'm seeing memes of super old "release" characters, suddenly people are watching the anime, reading the manga and cosplaying. It bothers the hell out of me for some reason. Everyone had 5 years to consume uma content but they choose to when it becomes popular in the west. I just hate how it became so mainstream, 99% of the players no next to nothing about jp horse history to prior to uma. Most of the western players feel so forced. I hate people, I hate what the majority of western anime fans has become after these sort of things became "mainstream". I just want to go back to the old days when gaccha games were niche and normies pretending to be "nerds" didn't flood these communities. Imagine if nikke had a steam release, but it started released from day 0. Suddenly nikke becomes super popular and people start meming about release characters like Volume and how scarlet is super OP. And anothe funny thing, is that even as a vet player, I know uma musume doesn't deserve the love, it's extremely repetitive, p2w, takes forever to get quality of life updates from the devs, extremely predatory with short banners with extreme meta units that require 5 copies to perform well. The gameplay loop has not changed in 5 years.
