Good thread (that hopefully won't be deleted.)
I think the spam filter might be triggered if the op is on a mobile network
>>556116604I'm on my desktop, so that wasn't the issue.
>>556117076But that might be why I can't make the full OP when I'm at work
For anyone who cares, it seems the new imagegen update is finicky with how some people prompt, so they are contemplating a toggle until they can update it further.
>>556120828Really? I wonder what the trouble is. My old reliable worked normally when I was messing around with it earlier.
>>556121105Mine have been working quite splendidly, too. Which makes me wonder what they're doing, prompt-wise and UC-wise, to have such difficulty.
Also, did anyone notice they added a feature to consolidate prompt tags into a handy-dandy custom chunk?

>>556120828what kind of toggle though? I don't know what issues other people could be having, only thing I've run into is the prompt itself is pretty eager to drown out the reference image even if it's as 1/1 values if I include artist/style stuff which makes sense of course that'd muddle whatever's being imported, though I wish it'd grab more colors or something in spite of that at values like that.

Rumor has it GLM 5 coming soon. Looking forward to it, have been trying Kimi 2.5 lately and it's good, but it's not as into storytelling as GLM is, you have to instruct it harder to make it do in-depth scenes, seems clear they care more about coding.
>this will be like claude on your local machineWhere's the GLM 4 fine-tune?
Is themeanon collecting suggestions?
Is there a guide for system prompt/prefill?
>>556120828Isn't it supposed to be better across the board
>>556136530I mean, he can't say "we fucked up and your old prompt probably broken now. No refund lol."
>>556136530It works on my machine. Evidently, some people make the model act finicky.
>>556136530The actual answer is probably "because this is a different model, the actual results are obviously going to be different, and if you have some sort of specific situation you got with specific tags and specific images, there's no guarantee that that will be 100% reproducible" and people are getting annoyed about their particular combos not working the way they did previously.

Some simple tests from yesterday (left was the character reference).I recommend 0.5-0.6 PGR to get brightness and saturation closer to the original reference's.It's getting styles more down to pat for the most part. This was a style that the original CR couldn't really get as close to, even from my experiments of actually using mediums for once. Some other references have resulted in unexpected style shifts, but at least you can course-correct it by feeding it more images of the desired style. Neat stuff.
>>556149472I noticed you can do negative strengths, so antivibes may workBut boy, my old setups would get expensive fast. I guess it'd be better to use them to make a combined reference image for further use
>>556162925>negative strengthsOh, interesting. I'll have to check. I don't really know how interested I am in using Style Ref to create styles itself, but I think its a neat pipeline after creating vibes, for the sake of more consistent OC character reference outputs. And so far it seems even better about changing details without bleed for me. Only thing that I had to UC out with a character was a scarf that kept wanting to stick.

Does anyone else rely on an AI handholding to create the starter prompts for them? If so, how?I'd like a workflow where I can feed a story bible I create (character info, rough story outline, bits and pieces of important lore, POV, author style, etc.) into some kind of model so it can write the starter prompt for me.
>>556212345https://files.catbox.moe/449yv5.png
>>556192931No. Those are outdated.
>>556212345Thanks man
>>556213065Most modern models can handle that without too much handholding. You just need to be incredibly specific with your instructions now, thry don't pick up on subtle cues like they used to
Dammit Viv, making me horny for more birds.
>>556215114Do you have any examples or best-practices for these instructions? I've tried using something along the lines of:>Using the information provided in the reference document, "[insert story bible text document here].txt", create a draft of the opening part of the story as outlined in the document.> Use a natural voice, emulating the writing style of [author 1], [author 2], etc. as closely as possible.I've used this kind of format alongside Google Gemini and Grok et. al. but I haven't been fully satisfied with the results they've given me (although Google's "Canvas" tools have been relatively useful in nailing down very specific prose snippets at parts).
>>556215964Another anon suggested it last thread, but something that I've found that helps is to come up with a very specific persona for the AI to LARP as.>You are to act as an amateur fiction author who prioritizes writing for fun and not for profit or acclaim.I tweaked the words a bit from the original suggestion. The "amateur" part really cuts back on the "polished" slop-o speak. It seems that to most modern AIs, professional=SEO-friendly slop. For your usecase, I'd specify something along the lines of>You are to act as an amateur fiction author who prioritizes writing for fun and not for profit or acclaim. You are helping your friend, the user, brainstorm and cowrite story ideas with the reference documents that have been provided. You are to act as if your writing style is similar to a combination of X and Y.

>>556022539>I keep telling people. Edit, edit, edit. Edit like your life depends on it. Also write your own dialogues. This is one of the main reasons why we need the models to have larger context comprehension. I more or less strongly edit ALL ai replies to make them fit the style of prose I want, in the hopes that this "trains" the model on how to continue. But summarizing earlier parts of the story to save on tokens loses that work again. Especially because like >>556023168 said, writing one handed sucks.

Armored, if you will.In 'XYLEM - ALLMIND', the hyphen should be an emdash. In 'say,” Ayre’s', the comma should be a period. Describing someone's voice isn't a speech tag as the verb isn't directly about them talking.Personally, I'd put the line starting '“I’ve sent' on the same line as the one before, since the same person is talking. Maybe consider a short sentence about him shifting about in the cockpit or readying the AC to move to tie in to Ayre's voice softening. While the semicolon in 'module; it’s' is more or less technically right, I'd be careful, since that's a pattern the AI loves to use over and over, saying something "isn't X; it's Y".You should probably use a dinkus (that is, three asterisks) rather than the three hyphens for the scene change. So I take it she's going to be a distraction while Raven either sabotages or destroys ALLMIND's SOL 644, or so that he can flank Iguazu here? I'm not particularly up on Armored Core lore to know the names of the ACs off the top of my head.

>>556276389So I take it she's going to be a distraction while Raven either sabotages or destroys ALLMIND's SOL 644, or so that he can flank Iguazu here? No. She's going to beat Iguazu (technically ALLMIND now) in MIND GAMMA, then ALLMIND's SOL will crash and defeat her, then Raven will come in the original SOL.At least that's what I had in mind.

There are mentally unwell people everywhere, but it's really facilitated by social isolation. What's most concerning about the AI boyfriend thing is the communities forming around it. >>556305545It's impossible for people to not form communities for things unless you deprive them of access to communicating with other people, which, uh, would lead to a whole lot of unintended consequences. All that does is drive it underground and increase the likelihood of worse situations arising. The only way to reduce the problem is to increase overall economic prosperity and improve transportation and housing access so that the younger generations have more opportunities to interact with people in person. >>556318479Do you also tell firemen to kill themselves when they save people from burning buildings? If you have no intention of taking advice from people, don't complain about what you receive.
>>556319265Sometimes people don't want answers or a solution, sometimes people want to vent
>>556319827They wouldn't have to vent if they took advice.
What's the deal with this in the default system prompt
>>556322678Take that part out and see for yourself lol
>>556322678Imagine using the defaults. Use the Antislop script to filter that for you instead of wasting tokens on shit that doesn't work.
>>556324319I would if I knew where to find it. Seen it mentioned but not linked to or in the guides in OP (nor is the system prompt/prefill mentioned there)
>>556325240A lot of it is in old threads or on the nai discord
>>556327916Someone should really port the stuff ver to the wiki.
>>556327916RipWell in the meantime how do i use prefill, memory, and system prompt differently because there seems to be a lot of overlap
>>556316984I've been doing my best to give the AI as many tags to work with as possible so that I don't eat up anlas chasing the right picture. Also, I disable precision when I'm fixing minor details. It can be very satisfying when it gets things right.https://files.catbox.moe/jkbjt4.png
>>556328961I agree it's definitely better to get the tsgs "right" before turning on the precision stuff lol
Instruct models seem to be better at following the story than base models from my own testing. Especially the newer ones. L3.1 isn't too sloppy if you don't use any kind of explicit instructions at all.

>>556304738Sensible chuckle. On the topic of horror, albeit unintentional, does anyone have experience with using the AI for horror-themed scenarios?

You now remember NAI's GLM fine-tune.
When it comes out, you'll just argue it's shit without trying it anyway, so fuck off. You are less useful than acvtual shit. At least that can fertilize the soil. Policeman, add this bullshit to the filter.

>>556328651I use the system prompt to define how I want the grammar, the prefill to reiterate a concise statement on it continuing, and memory for specific details pertinent to the story alongside ATTG.
Honestly, I'm impressed it actually pulled off the acronym.(The local forest has become dull after an attempt of mass emotional disruption, so it's an attempt to see what can be done to bring whimsy to the Fairy types that live there.)

>>556354949Thank you! Do you have a preset for system prompt/prefill?

>>556416804I regularly adapt this system prompt and prefill (I recommend downloading the Prompts & Preset script for easy upload)https://files.catbox.moe/zd650q.jsonFor memory, I just do something like this; after providing an overview for details I believe are pertinent to the story (the four dashes are part of it):----Tailor the prose according to these specifications:Author: [FILL IN THE BLANK]; Title: [FILL IN THE BLANK]; Tags: [FILL IN THE BLANK]; Genre: [FILL IN THE BLANK]

can someone test the new style reference and see if it can replicate BoTW in game style for me? also 90's evangelion, might resub
>>556422685What is the point of the title part of ATTG?
>>556435981Title isn't particularly necessary unless you want to imitate a particular work, but it can still influence the overall output.
If I have a list of goals/plans a character has, would that go in that character's lorebook, or in memory?
I'm doing the NAI trial and it keeps making me refresh every time I do a turn, saying I failed a recaptcha verification when I do a second.
>>556429701I have once before, it was of the oldest known sighting of the chupacabra: https://files.catbox.moe/8299s8.pngIt's interesting how the appearance of that cryptid evolved from a spiky green ayy to a coyote with skin problems.https://files.catbox.moe/efv789.png
