Handheld decks are useful if you're a beginner or if you need something that's disposable; as disposable as expensive tech gets, I suppose. Upside is that they're very safe and they don't require invasive procedures. Generally they're also most protective against ICE, broken tech in your hand is better than broken tech in your brain. Downside is they come with a lot of lag, relatively speaking, as the signal has to travel from your brain, through the wire, to your shitbob deck, where the commands gets executed.

At the very least the collectors will have to do the side content if they want to get everything. theyve also did a lot of work making vehicles easier to drive, especially the super cars. their danger has largely been childproofed away, but thats not so bad. but cdpr trends towards listening to good and bad feedback and changing things that often dont need changing and im not sure if they think they are actually fixing something or assume that any modification will be viewed as a "fix" from people that already arent paying attention. So i can see them going down the cynical route with the best intentions and to protect their shareholders by softening every edge whether its in their story or gameplay. but i wont know til their next game releases

I hope 2 has you be part of a crew like Edgerunners. Mix up solo and coop missions, or have the net runners do something while talking to you over comms. Having missions be several random disconnected fixers makes it disjointed and lonely.
