Trying to pretend they're just too far along to change direction and they'll need to do at least one story pack with master because they can't delay anything, but maybe they can reverse course later. So they know they're going to take a revenue hit from unhappy people quitting the game or no longer spending as soon as they actually implement their plans, and don't want that dip impacting the anniversary. And that's it. I don't think they have any actual plans to deal with master's story pack being a poorly received disaster. They'll just do the same old apologies and promises to do better in the future and hope to ride out the negativity.
