I should probably do trials soon

The new expedition info is confusing. Does it mean that if I get 4.5mil coins I will get 10 skill points if I didnt do the first expedition? Or do I need to have started thr first expedition and not complete it to get 10 otherwise it would be 5?

I was gonna do the 2nd expedition as a late buyer since I initially read it as I could get 1st and 2nd expedition rewards in one go since the 1st one was such a flop. Now? I think i'll just shoot for 100% blueprint completion and wait for them to give me more stash space without having to throw away all my progress.

It's insane how basic the loot system is in this game, I can already tell 99% of the time what I'm getting when I see the first item.
They literally hard-coded every item to spawn exactly in the same place and in the same slot, except some times the last item has a chance to be replaced by a better item.
I can I go to the same building every single match and know that I will get a trinket at that particular drawer on the third slot, except sometimes the rarity changes from white to blue.

Marathon can't come soon enough.

They should add an ARC that's like a rarer and deadlier version of the Tick, where it'll stalk you, climb on walls, and sprint toward you to melee you to death. Something like the Flayed Ones from 40k come to mind. I will admit that it may not fit the art style or theme of the ARC in the game though. Picrel.

I think main issue is how wasteful it is. If I take 4 stacks of heavy ammo that's 160 x 14 damage per bullet = 2240 damage total. With Anvil that same amount would do 6400 damage.

I'm your typical PvE player, I only engage with PVP when I'm shot first. I've had relatively peaceful lobbies since launch, with a few openly hostile KOS matches where I didn't make it out alive.
Over the last week or so the number of hostile players I've encountered has skyrocketed, maybe a couple dozen deaths to PvP since Sunday. Most of the time the raider is in Prox chat, and this has lead me to a not so surprising realization.
You ultra aggressive PvP players are *Miserable*.
Every time I talked to a raider that I had to fight, not a single one of them sounded like they were having fun. Of course there were the obvious slurs and retellings of what they did with my mom last night, but that sounded mostly like middleschoolers using the voice changer.
Regardless of if I killed them or visa-versa, not a single one sounded like they enjoyed the fight. If I said GG or anything remotely friendly or positive, I was rewarded with a firehose of expletives at the very least.
The only guy that sounded like he was having fun talked in a goofy British accent and played sad bagpipes on a soundboard as he knocked me out.
I don't know what the point of this post is, but I wanted to share my observations. Like the point of the game is to have fun? and you can't even sound happy or excited even if you beat me and win the fight?

I personally believe you should not lose your loot if there’s no time for the raider to take it. I am all about things thematically making sense. But then again, I also think you should only lose loot that’s actually taken from your body at all. Like, if you die early on, and your body lays there for 20 minutes without getting looted, you’d get a package or something with a note that these are your things that you had with you when you returned to Speranza and had to go to the med ward. My friends and I recently picked up Mario Kart again. Inspired by Arc Raiders we started just cruising through the courses with no real sense of urgency because we stopped actively working against each other. It's nice. There's a lot of stuff in the different maps backgrounds that are really interesting that I never noticed before because I was too caught up looking in front and behind me in the past. We still have to get past certain jumps and obstacles which is challenging and fun. When someone gets to the end we just wait there like an extraction until everyone is there and then we count to three and mob for the finish. We don't care who gets "1st" that's not the point. We do shoot off green shells though to add to the tension of the scenic drive but try to just drop behind items if we can or announce that we're setting off a "raider flair" if it's something that can't be avoided. But if anyone gets Blue shell they have to hold it til the end. It's like a courrier service. We're taking that package the whole way. My buddy, as we finish says "what can blue do for you" as a nod to UPS. Lol. I want to get more people involved but I worry about bad actors ruining the game.

I usually would get shot in the back 2-3 times in friendly lobbies everyday. It’s always in the back either at extract or when my back is turned while looting. I now run away when I see a player and don’t want to trust anyone at this point. So to make my gaming experience better I started logging off after being killed and only allow myself to be shot once per day, because after being shot I get extreme paranoia that someone will shoot me the next raid. I love this game so thats why I keep coming back, but somedays I want to quit until they make a PvE server where I can finally have peace in a raid.

Sometimes (very rarely) I will shoot someone from behind for no reason. Just entirely depends on the moment and how I'm feeling. That's part of the fun of the game imo

That said, pvp in this game in general is ass, for lots of different reasons that I won't bother bitching about ITT (it's mostly just not very fun at all and almost always feels unfair).

Its so heavily weighted in terms of first strike advantage that unless that ambusher makes catastrophic misplays its just safe to assume that the targets dead, possible even before they get a shot off themselves. Unless I make the mistake of attacking someone while they can quickly sprint to an open door or something to break line of sight, I basically never fail to down a player when I shoot first. Likewise, when they shoot first I almost never have any response to it but harsh language while I wait for the knockout.

I'm more likely to survive getting hit by a massive explosive missile fired by a rocketeer or a fire hose of 200 rounds from a bastion than I am to survive a guy magdumping 4-5 shots into me from behind. Because our ability to take damage in the game was designed and balanced for PVE, not PVP.

Really, I think what it needs is that Shields should just be flat-out more effective against player weapons than they are against arc. Make taking down another player's shields takes more than a single lucky surprise, and then let health melt easy after that.

If taking down a player is actually a pain, suddenly all of those traps and grenades and shit serve a purpose. Like, can you ever imagine actually using a gas grenade in the game as it exists now? You've wasted your opening on inconveniencing your opponent's ability to run away or dodge, when you could have just killed them outright in a fraction of the time. But if it might take you 3-4 shots from a Ferro to bring down a player, well now making it hard for them to run away from you is actually useful.

This makes getting the first hit in still an advantage, but its an ADVANTAGE not the entire fight in and of itself.

In hindsight, it was an overreaction considering the loot from Leapers is just mostly necessary components (I never used the Leaper core yet in a fight), and nowadays I'm able to mostly be the one who helps others kill and let them loot, but it's the principal that matters. If someone enters the room you worked hard to unlock and freeloads off you, then you can't complain when they walk away with your best shit. You put that gun in his fucking face and tell him to get off your lawn.

I feel like rocketeers are coded to be 10000% times more sticky if you are trying to do a trial and extract because every single time I'm 29 minutes in and about to leave with a 50k score I have 4 rockeeters following me for the last 12 minutes of the game who are shooting me through 3 buildings and photoelectric cloak and don't lose aggro for the entire match then it kills you through a smoke grenade and target and hits you through your FULL INVISIBILITY

This enemy is the worst piece of shit in this game I can't think of anything else that's nearly as gay and time consuming and random to deal with haha bro sometimes I just hover right above the building you're in for 40 minutes and you have to just die lmaoooo
