I'm biased because I've always thought that damage buff and defense debuff talismans are overkill for Nioh games, especially on their base difficulty, considering that enemies always barely have any HP on those difficulties.
You should focus more on utility talismans like Extraction (not on your list, but still something to look out for) to constantly activate stuff like faster movement on amrita absorption so that you can feel nice and fast.
But hey, if you enjoy the power fantasy of melting enemy healthbars, then obviously go for Weakness and whatever combination of talismans will allow you to stack two different elements at the same time to pop off that Confusion.

Holy fuck i'm enjoying this world design so much bros. I think having a map makes a huge disservice to the game, it's far more fun to explore when you don't know where you're going, this shit almost feels like a dark souls 1 map, especially thanks to side dungeons that can take half the fucking region in size undeground.
Unique side missions, tons of varying scenery, even the enemy camps thus far have been very different design wise, this thing BTFOs elden ring's "open world" design so much it's insane.

Nioh and elden ring have taught me that I actually dont hate open world games. Its just that they were almost universally shit for like a decade. Botw also had a positive impression on me but I was still pretty burnt out of the genre back then.

Enemies in Heian onwards do feel tanky. On the flip side, confusion has never been more spammable, a number of the elementally enhanced skills builds a ton of elemental gauge, 2 uses is enough for even the big mobs like one eyed oni to be inflicted. With 4 weapons at your disposal, you can easily dedicate one or two specifically to inflict element status.

I've been trying out a bunch of different combos of weapons and there are a bunch that work pretty well covering each other's weaknesses. Tonfa/spear, for example, is pretty great for swapping between up close and personal and a little further away.

Anyone know where I can find the Guardian Monk smithing text (or a place that drops the robes)? Tried farming the Crucible where you fight Shingen (Human) and even donning the 4 other armor pieces I have against the Takeda's Training Regiment to still not find pieces (someone on /v/ said wearing pieces would make them more likely to appear as drops).

I'm the kind of player that scrapes areas. Like we're talking exterior collisions autism; I won't move past an area until I've touched or checked literally everything. So I often have to find ways to naturally balance the level curve myself. In Nioh 3, one of the ways I try to keep it balanced is not defeating enemies that are in the way on a runback, unless its very dangerous. If I already killed it once, I just ignore it every other time.

Well I don't mean just on runbacks, was leaving out a bunch of details to keep it brief. But essentially because I spend a significantly longer time sniffing every nook and cranny of an area,, I often double back on and tread the same ground a lot, so I try to avoid grinding already defeated enemies. Unless they get really in the way or its necessary for progression.

No need to balance all stats. Stat reallocation is so fast and easy, and on the screen it even tells you what stats you need to activate the passives on the armor you're wearing
Just get the minimum needed for your armor, Magic to 15 or something for more Onmyou slots, Stamina to your desired weight threshold, then pump the rest into your damage stat

With Arts Proficiency giving essentially infinite stam, you can Battering Ram into a guy, Beyond Infinity to death, then Battering Ram into another, then repeat till everything dies
