ZZZ only doesn't do this because the entire story takes place in a single fucking city, so it makes sense to be regularily bumping into the same old characters. WuWa is an adventure spanning an entire world, it wouldn't make sense for characters to remain perpetually relevant because they would have to be all collectively following us around. They all have their own lives, they can't all be hanging around us forever and we're constantly moving from place to place. A few cameo appearances in events would be nice, but what more do people want?

I know some people think we're gonna put Aemeath's ghost into this new meat body but I don't see that happening, because her gameplay wouldn't work if she became flesh and blood again. It's literally baked into her gameplay animations that she's a digital ghost possessing a machine, how would it work if she became alive again? She even says she'll "always be a ghost in a machine" at the end even after her frequences were restored. So I'm not sure what they intend to do with this meatbag Aemeath then.
