It's real.However, only 1 seems to be able to exist in the world - that means the item itself, not even when it's placed as furniture. If one is in a player's inventory or a chest in the world, more won't drop. Your only way of "farming" them is moving them to another world, coming back and killing another EoC.You can't shimmer them, so you have to nuke the altars on two worlds if you want two variants.
20 hours in, and I have yet to defeat the 2nd Boss. Only defeated EoC because he spawns randomly.

Sometimes i wish there was a way to "pacify" specific hostile mobs so that they interacted with you instead of becoming hostile.
