NTA but I've been working on trying to save everything piece of anon work from /smbg/ and /kdg/ but haven't really tackled it yet, and was going to really try the middle of 2026. Most I got is the first few threads of both, and everything since August 2025. I've been saving consistently since then, should have been saving earlier than that but what can you do in hindsight....

The intro to this video is absolutely phenomenal and I just discovered it today, if you haven't seen it take the 30 seconds to watch it. This kind of stuff really cements to me how, even if the gameplay isn't as strong, the aesthetic and story of the Dark Matter games are so powerful that they haven't really been topped. I would love to get this kind of Kirby again but I doubt HAL will ever approve it.

I disagree. She was already good friends with Dedede because he's been trying to be a good king since Adventure, and her paintings suggest she hangs out with him and his fellow bosses often. What pushed their relationship to the next level was Dedede stepping up to act like a real hero in 64, which is what she wished of him in her drawing of Dedede from DL3.

For the record I don't think Sakurai hates Kumazaki Kirby at all, it's just not what he would've done and he prioritizes his own stuff specifically with Kirby (he's a perfectionist from third person accounts we know of him)

I think he only really has it out for the humans, which is funny since he seems to have a soft spot for the rest of Shimomura Kirby
