Wuling is beautiful. The music is so great, it still doesnt annoy me. Vegetation looks great on higher resolutions and boy..the volumentric fog is so well implemented. It usually tanks your fps like crazy but here? It looks insane and fits the rainy zone.

The 2 factory thing literally does not matter.Every region has a hard limit on how much time you will EVER need to spend there once a new region drops.No new units will ever be released which need special mats/Alluvium from Valley 4. I wouldn't be surprised if in 2.0, they release a new set of upgrade plants and rocks for new units as well, which are initially spread over just 2 or 3 zones and then get spread out further as the zone count increases. But even if they don't, it's <5 minutes to get all the plants and rocks a character needs to hit 80/80 level/weapon and 9 talents.If you're a new player once there's 3+ regions, there will be mild discomfort trying to push Wuling and V4 simultaneously, but that's an efficiency mistake on your part, not the game's part. After a few weeks of buying radars (cause you refuse to look them up for some reason), the only thing you might have left is getting more perfect Essences for your unit's weapons, but that's very optional and likely future regions will have the same damn Essence mods.

This was the only gacha game to make me cry. No gacha games writing compares to this one IMO, the story and lore is so interesting and developed I don’t even bother with the skip button like I do in WuWa and ZZZ. Though I’m kind’ve behind because I fell in love with the factory building and farming pulls for Gilberta.And the cutscenes are top tier, I genuinely felt like alot was on the line in many of them.I just finished Valley IV’s questline, and I’m so happy that I’ve found a game with a story I genuinely enjoy. The Gacha doesn’t bother me, (not sure what all the hate is for), so this game is five stars across the board for me. The gimmick of the stage is that there are absurdly high stats and attack range/movespeed enemies that delete anything they look at, but they idle for a while and take self damage over time that on normal difficulties wear them out for your ops to finish them off. However, the damage is a flat amount, so HP buffs from difficulty increases pretty much make it non existent and in the hardest difficulty of IS3 you basically have to deal with a bunch of nuclear warheads camping almost the entire map and eventually killing everyone, making it a complete run ender even with an overpowered squad and broken modern operators. Even the devs know how infamous it is, and the tileset has been recycled three or four times by now, with an encounter on the latest IS season having a chance to put you up against the exact same enemies and tileset, renaming the stage to Totally Out of Control.

This is the first gachaslop game I've ever played where I've actually felt inclined to complete everything the game offers. All quests, crafts, boxes, orbs, trims, etc. I have literally zero pulls left to get. I hope 1.1 is good !

For any p4/p5 Laeva enjoyers here, thoughts on this build, (tide fall chest, eternal xiranite gloves, lynx slab, redeemer seal. ~6600-6700 atk stat, with 169% ult gain) compared to the 176.5% ult gain build (Tide fall chest, hot work gauntlets, 2x redeemer seal ~5800-5900 atk stat)? This build has a ton more attack, but it requires one extra team skill to recharge ult. (1 enhanced battle skill, 1 combo skill, 3 teammate skills). I'm considering going with this but idk if the damage increase is worth needing an extra 100sp for every ult. You also lose the heat dmg bonus from hot work gauntlets.

I like having LR in team while exploring because I just love hearing her speak but I like controlling endmin. The two just don't fit each other in a team but somehow Gilberta bridged that gap as a solidify team, I actually like it even if LR is just sub dps role

It's the same reason why book adaptations always end up condensing as much as they can. You can't have characters be voiced while also talking as much as they did in the original game for obvious reasons. You can't have the actual length and depth of the story be the same as the original game because it's no longer the matter of just writing text on a PNG background. And you can't do the same thing that the original game did with changing perspectives and shuffling like three different side plots because the dev time is limited and they need to put this out in a timely manner. Greater tools on a narrowing canvas.

>>556853238Allegedly Laev's quest is the most recently written content. Gilberta's is the oldest, from before Valley IV was rewritten multiple times. This is why the story essentially restarts with Wuling. So hopefully they figured their shit out and things improve from here.

The game clearly still tries to shove lots of words despite the upgrade to 3D, not counting story changes and cut content, which in and of itself is dozens of man hours down the drain as if nothing ever happened. So their intention is clear to bring their power in story telling to 3D. The problem then comes when they have to weight in user feedback because this is something that comes from external factor. If they are going with what they had originally in mind and change very little i'm sure the game flow less like what we have now. But whether in that scenario we will also have more side stories every patch still depends on whether they plan out for it since the beginning or not.
