I don't remember having any problems with the mirror dungeon other than apparently making some stupid decisions with the ego gifts that forced me to restart from scratch. However, I was able to finish it the same day I started. My units at that time were Index Faust, Index Don, Dieci Mersault, Drifting Ryoshu, Udjat Outis, and Heishou Heathcliff. I guess the gameplay experience varies from person to person. Good luck, you're almost there. Canto VIII is really good, and that's where the red coin nonsense ends. God, how I hate that mechanic.
