I only started playing this game over a month and a half ago.It's nice, the latest story is pretty exceptional for something free just with the presentation alone, but it doesn't change my opinion that gacha as a monetization system is horrid. Especially with this game, the story doesn't seem like it's written and paced for packages with long downtime like this. I didn't notice this at first playing as a continuous narrative, but then I reached the latest region and had to wait for the second half of 3.0 and then 3.1. You are clearly supposed to experience from 2.8 to 3.1 as the prologue and first arc of the big overarching story for this region. With a total play time of about 14-15 hours, I'd say that's about right with a more traditional RPG. But with this gacha bullshit it's almost 4 months instead, it's literally raped the experience for me. How the fuck do people play this from launch and don't get mad?

But how is that possible if at times Sigillum wasn't even present and is still at a basic state when we meet it for the first time? What if what really happens is Rover piloting Sigillum and fighting Alepth-1 in voidspace, where time and space are connected, powering up by absorbing frequency of Rovers across time? We have seen how powerful Sigillum got with only a bit of frequency of one Rover.Also, not part of the theory, but besides the Rover that falls down and gets unraveled when we enter voidspace on the way to Lahai Roi for the first time, I noticed another Rover is unaccounted for - The Rover who falls from space as the station blows up. Everyone assumes that is Rover getting to Solaris-3 in the past, but we know that Rover didn't arrive that way. What's more, that Rover is completely faded out, like what happened to his hand but full body. I think this has also something to do with Rover fighting Alepth-1 across time and space.Finally, what I have not seen anyone wondering, when Aemeth shows up to support the Exostrider - Who is piloting the Exostrider? Because the Exostrider needs a pilot, Rover even says so again at the end of 3.1, but before Aemeth shows up someone must've piloted it to fight Alepth-1 to that point. It's also strange that she doesn't get into the Exostrider, but supports it from the outside, even though that is her whole thing and what she does in her trailer when she resonates with it for the first time (I have the sneaking suspicion that the Exostrider Ameath found floating in voidspace is also one and the same Exostrider, but at a different point in time).

I used up about 70 pulls worth of astrites to get Lupa's signature weapon, during which I got about 45 corals. At this rate, I'm gonna need do the same amount of rolls for 16 banners to get the 720 afterglow corals necessary to get both dupes for a character.
