no one wants to play on a server that might break, reset or delete everything they've done
it's nice experimenting with the game during this time but i personally don't want to stick around doing anything when it could be gone with the next update and i feel like a lot of people are in the same boat

This is bait but they haven't really finished the modding tools in general. I don't think the modding support for server/mini-game integration works yet - they haven't even done all of the documentation for the ones that do exist. There are some KitPvP servers kicking around that were advertised on youtube, but nothing like a factions/anarchy server from what I've seen.

Can somebody please vibecode some shitty website where they only put the good quality content mods and add Reddit upvote downvote system. Reddit system rewards normie opinions and hiveminds, but it works really well for littering out low quality content. Maybe also add mod collection feature. All it has to do is just link to the curseforge page, automatically display the mod icons and names and it’s good, but don’t do it automatically, let anons only add mods that are worthy. No more then 1/50th the amount of mods on curseforge.

Honestly, I thought about it, I have a whole folder of bug anatomy and legs especifically, and I was thinking of praying mantis arms on the front, but I think that'd be a bit too overkill.

It chews on rocks, hence the giga teeth on it. The spider is some sort of burrow creature that digs into mud or even rock to camouflage itself and have part of its carapace/fangs sticking out a bit. When catching the prey, it pulls them into the hole to kill the prey via suffocation from mud and web-wrap.
It'd spawn on mud block and spider caves.
The texture still needs A LOT of work since it's not very Hytale-y, since the textures are smooth instead of pixelated.

I'll still do more insects and stuff for sure. It's super cool to do this stuff.
If I learn how to animate, at least, 90% of the animations (idle, eating, hiding, etc.), I'll make it into a looted mount with cool recolors.

That'd be fucking sick. I think Minecraft can do this. I remember seeing a video on Discord about 50 spiders crawling all around the walls and stuff in a cave. Hytale did pretty alright with its spider caves, but sadly no crawling or spiders barely spawning kills the mood a tiny bit. I still get fucking spooked because I'm a pussy.

And was pretty slow to actually get in range. The new one does a ton of stamina damage while you block and deals significant damage with its tongue and horn attack, so it's killed me more than the original, but it's more fun to fight. They should release a surface-level toad in the desert. Maybe it can bury itself in the sand and ambush people with a horn attack, and then only does the tongue attack after that.

It's as simple as "You're a vamp. You drink blood. You need to sleep in a specific coffin."

1-You sacrifice % amount of YOUR blood to get skills.
2-Using vamp skills drains your blood. Your blood also drains naturally, but very slowly.

3-Using vamp skills during the day drains 2xblood.

4-No vamp stages. You get a TON of skills and upgrade them as you please. Some cost more, some cost less, some are linked to others.

Skills are not just skills, but ways to remove your vamp limitations.

Limitations:

ok here's my big gods and worship concept

there's a bunch of different gods. favor with each god is tracked separately. gods have different methods by which you gain or lose favor with them. they're mostly based on the existing statues so far because i never considered the possibility of making new statues.
you start with a handful of gods unlocked to begin with. build a theologian's table and you can build altars to your unlocked gods and craft rosaries.
right click on a statue/altar of a god and you play a little animation where you kneel until you stop praying.
whenever you do something that a god likes, it rolls a die to determine if you gain any favor. the more times you do something without gaining favor, the more likely you are to gain favor the next time you do it.
certain actions are major acts of devotion and always grant favor. these generally involve actually building new altars and slaying bosses opposed to your god.
sometimes some gods hate each other and gaining favor with one will count toward losing favor with their rival(s).
some gods have to be unlocked by finding their statue out in the world and praying at it (the heart of orbis, outlander deity statue, the founding builder statue, etc) who have unique blessings and more obscure demands
favor of the gods generally supplements your build rather than dominates it (the god of knights can give you an armor blessing while you're in battle at a random chance, stuff like that) but extreme devotion to a particular deity can earn you shit like a recipe to craft an offhand relic that does something like. idk. shooting lightning at your foes.
rosaries are used to pray on the go. they're less effective than praying at a statue or altar but more convenient. (you have to reconsecrate a statue/altar every time you move it.) undead mobs will momentarily flee from a praying character but it won't protect you forever/you can't spam it.

Truth is, no one really cares about AI code. The issue with AI art is that it's instantaneous, so you see boorus and other galleries getting spammed with shit no one took the effort to make. Same with text. No one wants to engage with something like that.
Code on the other hand, you can't really skip straight to the end product yet. Using it to buy skills seems orthogonal to the other points: if it's effectively disposable then buying skills is trivial, if it's not then using skills at all is extremely penalizing because you're actively setting yourself back (until you max your character out).
My recommendation would be to use a different non-blood system for skill unlocks (e.g. by requiring challenge rituals be done; perhaps they use the still-buggy instance system to make you complete a timed challenge map).

YES. The game already has a system for higher grade items giving higher grade buffs, it'd be easy for food + time to give better buffs. Alcohol isn't in the game yet, but neither is mana. Alcohol could be a direct buff to max mana like meat is to health

Speaking of magic actually, I've tried this mod and its pretty good. They are simple comap[red to the staves from the arcanist bench, but instead of mana, they use stamina. which is op if you cna start a fight from some 10 yeards away, but I tried fightign a void knight and almost had my ass handed to me.


If you're curious about magic, give this one a try. The work bench it uses is also just a book.

Parts of V2 are being demoed already, just not in your default world. The "Fragments of Orbis" you can visit from the ancient gateway are using V2 and there's a demo of the V2 taiga biome in creative mode (use the yellow portal at the south end of the hub).
Changes to V1 thus far have been limited to fiddling with ore veins and adding mobs to the Zone 4 caves that had been generating without them. I'm guessing there won't ever be any major changes to V1. If we get mithril and other things before the full V2 rollout it will only be accessible through fragments.

Orbis is supposed to be much more of a themepark and they said as much in their older blog posts. They say this in their first post about worldgen:

You can teleport to an instance with an older version of the V1 worldgen from the creative tools. You just click instances on the world menu, then pick Default_Old from the list.
Compared to the current worldgen, this older version has a similar biome size, but the zones are much larger and on a continent surrounded by seemingly endless oceans. If you fly far out from shore you can find small islands that look unfinished.
So from what I'm seeing I don't think they viewed infinite worldgen as being as important a part of the game as it is in Minecraft. At least not initially. This might turn out to be one of the differences between adventure mode and exploration mode.
