The whole point is to only include characters that are universally loved and pretty much never get negative feedback. Morrigan getting angry at all the nice stuff that most players do in Redcliffe (among others) really did make some players dislike her and it's been a consistent complaint over the years leveled at the character.

Beginning a new adventure in Icewind Dale: EE, with The New Light series of mods installed. These add a number of new areas and quests, but more importantly add a number of recruitable characters complete with dialogue and their own personalities and gimmicks, which is a common area of critique in the base game.Something striking is how pretty and atmospheric ID is in comparison to the BG games.While this party is not the final one, the current recruited characters that will be kept are Karihi - A fire gensai noblewoman and literal hothead.Bethany - A town shaman who is sick with the flu for the duration of the adventure.Guldruk - A lawful good, old, half-orc Kensai.The other characters available for recruitment either don't have a strong enough identity or are annoying (particularly the gnome artificer who is a stand in thief).

I also nabbed another NPC mod that added a romanceable middle aged Halfling lady that was a qt.I did replace the custom portraits they came with fitting ones that came with the game because the IWD portraits are the best even to this day.
