But Doey's monster form was massive, so if they kept him in the trailer it would've been a bit of a challenge to make it look good. They decided to use his little hat instead since players know it's a symbol for the character himself, and crucially there's no "Mini-Doey" around in-universe, since Doey was unique and apparently may have been completely unrelated to the poppy procedure.The choice to make the Prototype steps over a mini-Huggy is relevant as we know Huggy is alive when the chapter starts (and this is the intro to the main trailer, so even though all this sequence is really just symbols of events, this is meant to be taken as the beginning of the new chapter), so showing the Prototype step over its corpse is not logical. Mommy's corpse is clearly the one we killed ourselves. But it's a very telling choice that the trailer decided to not use Catnap himself but a mini-Catnap. Why not? Size-wise Catnap can easily fit in a scene where the Prototype towers above him like with Mommy. And if they HAD used Catnap's real body, no one would've thought it weird. They used the Mini-Catnap for a reason, and that reason is that the real Catnap is no longer dead, or at least won't be by the time the chapter ends.

Just finished reading the current chapters of a ongoing fic called The Angel's Breaking Heart. https://archiveofourown.org/works/54988726At it's core it's another "save the toys" fic, but it has interesting religious/supernatural elements such as the main character being a guilt-ridden Christian, and it makes the saving part really hard fought for with drama and trauma throughout. There's also an incredible action/chase scene around the middle, though I won't spoil what it's about. It does have some pacing issues like spending a lot of time in Playcare due to being written before Chapter 4, but overall the fic gets better as it goes along and I can't wait for more.

People were already speculating that the creepy smiling pumpkin was the Prototype's face, so it would be way too obvious if it showed up again. And his eye sockets and mouth are large enough to fill up the space, so, at least to me, he doesn't feel like he's "missing" anything important. And it also ensures that your eyes will be drawn to his teeth by not having much else to distract you with on his face.
