Why are the NPCs in the Sims 4 so hollow? I understand that this entry is centered around easy dollhouse gameplay for casuals to RP stories but still...They're just husks, there is no challenge at all. They won't do anything by themselves, won't evolve won't take any single decision. You can convince them to do anything, easily befriend or romance them... It's just tiresome. Let's take the last DLC: They won't climb the noble hierarchy by themselves, won't challenge you by themselves, won't conspire won't try shit. Made a new seperate save to try out the noble career. It's a decent touch that you can edit the noble titles across all ranks and have it be "kingdom-specific" or general. If rental lots could've been trusted, I'd be interested in overhauling Forgotten Hollow to have one of the larger plots be turned into a small village via the rental feature, another one this new backroom lot type, since that dual lot type especially with a switch at night seems a no-brainer for how small Forgotten Hollow is.
