So I have to ask - do people actually know that this is the first chapter of a game that's going to be running for years?I see a bunch of people bitching about lacking resources to raise their characters - but if they were handed their resources, just what would they use their daily sanity on? I see people complaining that the factory is simple, and the enemies basic - but we literally just finished the tutorial region, and we're already seeing things get more complicated; isn't it obvious that they chose to ease people into things? I see people complaining that the enemies have literally no motivation and are dumb as bricks, but wtf would the story be if they gave away all the twists in the intro? I see people complaining about how there's no endgame, but the average player isn't even in Wuling yet, let alone maxed out a team for endgame - how many people would feel left out if HG started running events that excluded the vast majority of players?I'm not going to say that people have to love the game or anything, but a lot of people seem to have confused this for a 60$ one-and-done game. Maybe because it's as pretty as one, and Valley 4 can act as a standalone story, but it really isn't - it's just sowing the seeds for the next several years, and a lot of its weaknesses can probably be explained by HG expecting that players would be spending a lot more time figuring out how to play their shiny new game than trying to understand a deep narrative or intricate mechanics. Time and place, so to speak.

Players already figured out how to construct Xiranite, which was one of the conflicts of this region. They need to really need to amp up the tension with the following story updates.

And one more thing - I'm tired of the constant glazing of the CBT story compared to the release version, that ignores all of its problems to present it as some masterpiece.It starts off with trying to stick Endmin in a Sarcophagus to fix their memory problems, while giving Rhodes Island a starring role. I'm sorry, but I would have HATED that - I want Endfield to be its own thing, I don't just want Arknights On Talos. Down that road lay endless Reconveners, callbacks, and nostalgia bait. I like these little tie-ins in moderation, like the reference to Clooney we saw and having a COUPLE of Reconveners - but I want Rhodes Island to be, in general, less relevant to us than the actual Talos factions. Changing such an important point naturally caused a lot of problems, yes, like the Quarry being weird and Gilberta being broken. But the game will be healthier for it after Valley 4 - it was a change that was very much needed. Nor will I pretend that EVERY change was necessarily for the better - but the evil CBT testers didn't ruin some masterpiece demanding a Genshin retread. The logic behind the biggest changes was sound.

All my segments are at max, I have collected every collectable from every zone. I have more credits in both zones then I have things to do with them. Splitters function with a round-robin style approach, so they always shift items from the source (X) to the various belt outputs in an A > B > C > A repeating order. So if you have two outputs from a splitter, one going left and one going right, the splitter will always bounce between left and right each time an item is sent to it.But it doesn't speed the production of things, so if you're machine is outputting more than 30 items per minute, then you'll need a second belt output to ensure your machine is running at full bore. Sandleaf powder is made at a rate of 1:3 sandleaf:powder, so a shredding unit processing sandleaf flowers will need 3 belts outputting.Splitters "slow down" the factory in the sense that they cut whatever input is going through down to 1/2 or 1/3, depending on the number of belts outputs being used. So if a machine needs 30 items a minute to maintain full uptime on it's process, then a splitter that is splitting into two lanes will cut that uptime down by half, since only 15 items a minute are making it to the machine. A splitter splitting to three lanes will cut uptime down by 2/3, cause only 10 items are minute are making it to the machine.Splitter can be useful for two main things; shifting portions of scarce materials to a secondary production line (xirainite is a big one for doing this) or else as a means of feeding multiple thermal banks off of a single line of batteries. One battery output from a depot can comfortably run four thermal banks, with just a single belt row broken up by splitters, one for each of the first three banks.There are also some crazy power modulation blueprints you can make with splitters and convergers but that's beyond me to explain right now.
