Logically, what would a viable fourth faction even be? Identity? Gimmick? They've really got 90% of what you could conceptually want out of an enemy roster spread across the 3 existing races.

Totally nonhumanoid aliens that are a melee swarm, visually oppressive machine "aliens" who spam ranged and have the heaviest ground units, and an esoteric le ancient psychics with body horror. According to those dataminers/leakers, squids have got a shitload of content and mission types half finished. I think it's swedish autism and ego that made them focus on making bots as miserable as possible the last few months, but squids could be next for a major update. Also, they found some code and voicelines referencing alien wildlife that could be hostile to both sides in missions, so the idea is possible to have third parties.

Dissidents as a faction just isn't working for me. I think dissidents as a limited mission or campaign type would be good. Singular planets or isolated systems rebel and need to get brought back into the fold, commando missions on friendly Super Earth controlled planets to help root out exceptionally well organized partisans, etc. As a full faction with 1/4 of the map I don't think "just human rebels" really works.

I would also say that the Squids scratch the itch that the Scrin do, but if they had a subfaction that was more overtly Scrin-like then we'd get the best of both worlds.

Is it just me or does the adjudicator feel bad to use?
Compared to coyote, adjudicator has even better recoil control with the upgrades and damage. Meanwhile I use coyote with an angled grip that worsens the recoil and without peak physique, and it still shoots better and somehow has better ttk. I get the fire dot, but would it matter that much when you're magdumping into the enemy?

The DoT of the Coyote and the larger magazine go a long way towards making it feel like it's impacting a lot more.
