But if she had them before arriving in Caledon, one plausible explanation is, as you said, Safi's search for other people led her to Chloe, maybe because she's trying to figure out the origins of Max's powers leaving no stone unturned. Another is she trained her powers enough that it evolved so that she can skew your perception from just a picture and/or description. I like the idea that when Safi leaves a part of her in the people she imitates, it stays there and becomes a malignant tumor of sorts and that's the reason she's in Chloe's visions/impossible memories. A contrived way to make her a semi-villain. I think Safi plays a more important role than we think since she's likely the first to notice the changes of Max's timeline merge because she leaves immediately, she might be the first to discover Chloe got resurrected which poses another problem: Which Chloe does Safi meet if she did meet her? The one that survived or died?

Max's photography career is doing well. While it's not much to go on, the intent is to show Max and Chloe are okay.
