I think at the time I looked up what was awaiting me if I had continued to grind for drops, and it was really just grind for drops, and do repetitive quests. I particularly recall running that one werewolf(?) fight for a particular drop a dozen times, where it was just rushing to the boss and just bursting it without any actual thinking involved.
