Just finished my honor bg3 run, heres what I think of companions. Astarion is the best voice acted character in the game (aside from DM) but his quest is a bit disappointing. Wyll doesnt need to exist, Karlach's quest and the way others treat her (almost no conflict) hold her back, and while I like Shadowheart she lacks personality. Laezel is a bit lacking too but in other way, her personality is good but she doesnt have anything special going on besides being a gith. Halsin just hanging around. Every single Minthara line is fire and I cant believe they initially locked Minthara behind killing grove questline. Gale is a very charismatic megalomaniac, I really like the way he speaks and acts. Emperor being Baldurian makes no sense and I hate that his alliance with you loses ambiguity if you dig enough. Its a personal IMO and I really wish Larian spent a little bit more effort and time to polish more lacking companions quest lines.

It might be easier to just do your jobs fairly and interpret the rules as they're written. When you selectively enforce you remove the incentives. For example, that DUI you got back in Nov 2023 driving your parents vehicle is something that gives incentive to people to not drive drunk. If they start randomly arresting everyone for that it just becomes a lottery that you can win or lose no matter what you do. Cops can't just arrest people every time they lose an argument and get upset about it. That's not how law and order works buddy. Nice mugshot by the way.
