The 'most optimal' is always just going to be as many of the largest sprinklers you have in a flat grid, but depending on the farm map you chose you may run into times where it's not really possible to make it that even or organized. You kinda have to play it by ear and figure out how work your own space as you go along. Don't worry too much because you can always just redesign it. Winter is basically made for that purpose

When you're just starting out, you dont need to worry too much because you'll have the opportunity to change up your layout every winter
