Can't give a time for story content because it depends on how fast you read, they got longer over time, some chapters are short and some are 5 hours of reading.The orb pinging is just very unique so you have to get used to it no matter what, personally I prefer to use keyboard only, some people prefer controllers, etc. So just go with what you are most confortable with until you develop muscle memory.
