I'm in the same situation, the only multiplayer things that I play now is Enlisted and Left 4 Dead 2 with buddies, Enlisted is weird since it's kinda flawed, but very unique in itself, unlike the other WW2 shooters out rn which are mostly walking sims, I can just hop into Enlisted, get into action quickly and be entertained, and having a couple of niche historical things helps spicing things up

Also, I'm trying to run this lineup as a BR2 setup, but I'm finding it somewhat lacking:

I think the lack of a radio operator is what's throwing me off, since I use them a lot for throwing ammo boxes in contested areas or for my guerrillas to later use, and the paramarines' AI doesn't seem to use the carbine well at all, I'm thinking of replacing them, but I like paras (and do way better with the Market Garden event)

Nice. That's honestly how I primarily use them now. Since it's hard to rely on teammates to build ammo crates and arty kills are inconsistent with a long cool-down. I've learned the limit seems to be 3 ammo drops. On conquest I make sure to drop 3 ammo boxes spread across the map behind the points. On other modes I spread them out as appropriate.

The PPSh-43 is nasty for clearing rooms. Equip a PPS or B-V in the primary slot. Then switch to the PPSh-43 for when you have to fight inside buildings. Moscow has a lot of houses and CQB opportunities so it's perfect for that. I held out the last point on destruction against defenders after we ran out of tickets by holding down a hallway choke point and mowing 10 defenders down thanks to that gun.

The PPSh-43 is kind of good and terrible at the same time. Its sole gimmick is having extremely tight hipfire accuracy, which ironically doesn't matter at the absolute point blank ranges you are forced to use it at because of its damage drop off. Really fun gun, great BP reward.

The old BP system was terrible because all it resulted in was newfags buying terrible guns with their scarce gold orders while oldfags hoarded them and waited for the next G43K or Conders to come along. You can generally tell when you die to a PPSh-43 because the user has to stuff it right into your dick to kill you. It's a gun that filters most players that have it because it's basically useless compared to any other Soviet SMG unless you specifically perk for it and use it on an Ass IV with maximum movespeed so you can actually get in close.
