Even beyond romantic, I thought highly of them and I cherished their company. They excelled in things I wished I was better at and in a lot of cases if there was more of a warmth I might have seen them as the older sibling I didn't have in my life.I don't hate them, but I am very much disappointed because when I met them I was not in a great spot and they did really help motivate me to wanting to turn my life around, it's why they were so important to me for so long. In a lot of ways my feelings on the matter are:I am watching someone who was once like a mental hero to me having given up and being what feels like a complete fraud behind the scenes. What's worse is, they can say that's them but it really isn't. When they're actually feeling good about themselves and engaging actively they are one of the best people from here you can be around. It's just sad to me as someone who will invest all of their energy into bringing out someone's latent potential (entelechy) that I am watching such a brilliant personality go to waste because the person behind it is so afraid of getting burned that they stifle their growth and potential at least how it feels to me.On my end I acknowledge I am too prideful, and making a hill to die on to bend over backwards once again.
