I don't really like the Blight as an antagonist the same way I did Originium. Originium was well integrated into the world as this extremely dangerous cancer rock that made you into a societal pariah, but it also enhanced your casting thricefold and had all these mystery applications to it, so places like Rhine Lab and Rhodes Island (begrudgingly) studied it and kept it around at arm's length. It was very well placed into this moral gray area of morality.Aether and Blight are just... generic? They cover everything in goop and if you huff the farts, you get a little high and then die. I suppose I'm being unfair though, saying there's nothing to it yet, when there really isn't, they haven't had the same time to flesh it out as they did Originium.

Some people find it annoying but immersing yourself in the world could be improved a bit with music, maybe some sort of dungeons where the rewards are more significant, and Uncharted/Zelda level puzzles. I also think Etched Space should be remade to tell OG Arknights stories in 3D that you can play through. Sequences almost like the beginning of the game or Laev's quest where if you get too far away from the real events it kicks you out, but if you follow the story you get the "true" ending and some type of unique reward. As a way to "refresh" the memory of the Endmin in a meaningful way other than reading tons of text.
If they released this is as a real 60-80 dollar game I would buy it. But the F2P model is forcing annoying tedious bullshit like grinding for essences and having to roll for an operator AND their optimal weapon, AND having to manage a team of four making rolling for operators, weapons, and grinding for essences even more annoying. The team-based gameplay just comes off like they lazily threw together "synergies" just for the sake of making you roll for more ops. It's too bad this game was designed to milk gacha addicts for their money, because it would be an extremely good game if it was reworked to be a real game. As of now I can't justify the amount of management it takes just to play the game day to day.
