Normalfags take Fubs word as gospel, but I think he's actually extremely underrated in the more knowledgeable parts of the community. It's easy to see his gear upgrades and currency stacks and just think of him as a big juicer and move on, but there's a lot more to it. Last year during merc league I had the coof and was bed bound during league start, so i basically watched his stream for almost 24 hours. Everything this guy does is insanely fast and efficient. The campaign, atlas progression, map clear and looting, crafting, experimenting with new content. He looks at a new mechanic, and within like 20 seconds makes and accurate call about how to correctly engage with it. Also his build and gear choices are always immaculate.

The state of ground loot is due to a number of cumulative changes that have happened over multiple leagues. It's not an issue that just uniquely appeared in 3.27. It's something that people have been talking about for pretty much every league since Affliction, and GGG have only nerfed ground loot each patch rather than buffing it. Merc was the only kind of exception because we had Risk scarabs, but that's now nerfed and not nearly as effective.
There is something off about poe2 not having any in death effects or ground hazards in general. Like d3 was basically dodging death orbs and kiting the entire map constantly, and poe would occasionally just 1 shot you. Something about the danger missing in poe2 really does suck the fun out of endgame maps. They need to make a map boss currency or some shit to make them worth running.
I'd rather just farm for crafting materials than deal with the micro of picking up ground loot. You still get the same dopamine when your 50/50s or whatever hit.
For me, it's high value uniques
