I don't like a lot of the changes Genshin brought about to gacha gameplay but the rules for the gacha itself are the fairest they've ever been.I still wish we lived in the timeline where KanColle's system became the norm, where you could easily grind "roll currency" or farm limiteds from event maps. The tradeoff was having limited roster space and needing to pay for expansions, but that was paying a buck to keep characters you already owned instead of paying hundreds for the chance to obtain them. GFL and OG Arknights took inspiration here. There were other games back in the day where you could infinitely farm roll currency if you were autistic enough, trade units even, and whole communities sprung up to game the system.
