I feel like it's more efficient (and more fun) to keep playing through main story chapters and side stories rather than doubling back and spending a bunch of sanity on only OP and some furniture. Another point for Mutsumi is she is best in situations where it is okay for her to go down. Put her in front of a defender with her S2 against large enemy waves, for example. Her job there is to do AoE damage with S2 and build fever for the team, and if she goes down and cycles into doll form then you still have a tank behind her and it's not an instant wipe.

But, if the enemies can't do net damage to her, then yes she is actually invincible and can solo a whole lane.
