Since Rance is a comedy/parody series and often leans on Rance's stupidity or bad intentions, a lot of them feel more forgivable. The jrpg trope of the main characters being passive to the point of ridiculousness is the writing thing that bothers me the .ost about the genre, whether that's people standing around like tards in cutscenes or not thinking anything about blatant clues they are given that things aren't what they seem and maybe they need to do something, and then it has to be explained later to them. With Rance I can at least say respectively that it's a comedy and scenes get way more stupid than that on purpose, and that Rance doesn't give a shit about the big picture and just does what he wants.

This game is such a piece of shit. It would be the perfect comfy game to pick up and do a dungeon run, do some grinding, and watch some cute events in. Why does it have such a fucking strict time limit? I have to hyperoptimize every single step I take so that I can get to the shitty turtle girl and then my rope breaks and the whole dungeon run is wasted. I can't just say "oh guess I'll do some side stuff and leave then", because nigger bitch is going to NTR me if I waste so much as 1 day so I have to just start over or reset the game so I can get to this dungeon sooner and have more free days available.That second suggestion is a joke, obviously. >>559334420If you're going to be hyperfixated on 100%ing it the first time through, then yeah you're going to have to play through days multiple times to gather info or retry fights. If you just play through doing what you want it's not a big deal. You have a limited amount of action each day and a limited number of days, so of course you have to plan things thoroughly if you want to be perfect. The actual gameplay and atmosphere is pretty comfy to met though.
