For the species list, it doesn't matter as much (since they largely play off their normal existence) but for other things, I tend to give a brief explanation so the LLM can start up talking about the place or person before having their full context from the lorebook.

With The Dust Lab, I included more detailed entries if a character shows up proper that are still shortert than the full character card.
