Deadlock is an incredibly complex game and its fun to extractt as much efficiency as you can from it. There's a lot of strategy and interesting gameplay dynamics in the normal gamemode. SB trades all that for cheap dopamine (gambling for good items so you can feel good because you were handed a victory). No strategy, no thinking, just spamming spells and hoping for good items. it's the goyslop gamemode. The regular gamemode has its lows, but with no lows there can be no highs.

Objectives in the game feels absolutely inconsequential, flex slots matters even less than in their previous version, guardians are still complete eunuchs after 5 minutes and taking a walker doesn't feel like a huge victory ( Outside of the souls gain ) compared to just... brooling mid and getting an epic wipe.I understand that objective and map controls are supposed to in turn bring in more soul which is supposed to help you win the mid brool, but with how tiny the map is and how good the movement is, you can easily take a fight on green and at most you'll miss a wave.I've played from Ascendant to Archon lobby and all games gave me the same feeling, except in some Archon lobbies where people just let Ivy/Wraith take urns and walker over and over again without ever looking at their minimap.I know maybe it's different in your poggy Eternus CV lobby, but for 98% of the playerbase this game feels like Overwatch with items.

I had a dream/nightmare(though not a very intense one) about Deadlock. I was a Blackmore student and friends with both Graves and Apollo somehow. Then Graves came out and asked in her cool girl voice what we were talking about. Apollo said it was nothing and that he needed to pee so it was his turn to go in the bathroom. It was me and Graves and then she did the same thing, basically telling me that I wasn't welcome and that I should go so she could have a nice time with Apollo alone, just the two of them. Again in this dream I was their friend so by this point I was feeling extremely sad and disappointed. I left crying and the strangers in the mall passing by all stared at me and pointed and that's when I realized that I was big and blue, I was Abrams. Then I woke up and there were tears on my pillow already drying
