Because the game is about using every tool at your disposal to crush the joy of others. Valve learned with Dota and Counter-Strike that engagement is not about enjoyability but the ability to exact suffering upon others. The game is meant to be 30-40 minutes of satisfying denigration onto others and then humiliation exacted upon yourself so as to make you want to repeat it onto others. A perpetual cycle of negative chi to surpass the disharmonious attempts of yesteryear. Matchmaking does not want to find balanced games, it wants to filter out the people who do not enjoy making others suffer and make every loss into some sort of mark against their next opponent. I do not know if it was the original intention, but now it is so powerful I suspect the room hosting the servers will instantly kill anyone entering them.

Seriously Bebop needs to lose either the hook or the infinite bomb scaling. It's fine for a character to have an obnoxious ability, but having both is just stupid. Hook is stupid because you can miss 30 hooks in a row, but then hit a single one after spamming all game that single-handedly wins the match. And the fucking bombs just make Bebop an inevitable problem because he can feed 10 kills but as long as he's pressing the bomb button you will have to deal with 2k damage bombs at some point. How good is Scourge? Thinking about using it on Rem, plopping it on a teammate at the same time as Divine Barrier but it seems like it's really dependent on what character(s) they're engaging. I tried it in a game recently when I noticed the enemy team had 5 spirit carry builds, but I also pointed it out to my team and they all bought spirit resist for their own builds so it wasn't really needed and we swept them.
