A lot of the plot is weakened by the awful job at contextualizing the world too: what exactly is the Marshall and what do they do in the empire? We don't need to be told exactly what the title entails, but simply having Nine and Renoa act surprised about it and epect the player to buy it is not enough. For Tiphera herself, we're just told some information about her past and have to take it at face value. We have an entire section telling us both that she is powerful and has killed a lot, as well as another one discussing killing a few for the greater good (which I assume is related to the egg but season 3 will instantly shift the focus to Rita so I don't think they'll bother bringing it back up) but neither of those things are ever shown in the plot, she doesn't even hurt anyone because Nine and Renoa kill the final cyborg and then we have a Nine flashback as if anyone actually remembered that random NPC.. I get that we have a lot of "for a gacha" moments in the plot but I actually feel that every season does not have enough content to showcase any character and that the only format that can actually work for a fun plot would be through Trauma Codes. I'm willing to bet whatever character we get after Rita will actually be a more interesting character than any S2 girl simply because she should get a code too.

Finally managed to build a basic Tiphera deck and while I'm liking her in constructed content, she has to be one of the most miserable characters to run on chaos, some characters feel bad until you unlock their full deck, but Creation and Destruction(actually pretty good chaos card) is the only one of her cards that doesn't need archetypes to work and only seed generates them so she actually feels awful to play until you trigger epiphanies on your other cards. I think they should buff her basics to generate a random archetype, even if it was % based or in the discard pile, at the very least.

The only times I have ever slowed down to read parts of new things they have added to the game after launch is sometimes Yuki's voice actress was really going hard, so I had to slow down and listen. I hope Yuki's VA gets more work, she's incredible. Maybe she's already well established, I have no idea. It'd make sense if she was, she's really good.
