Why is IDW wave soft on Jewel? It's cute but seems odd. Wave in the games is almost completely unsympathetic. The closest thing she ever does to a "nice" thing is explain how the Meteotech computer works to Sonic. That's it. She is openly hostile in every other interaction with every character who isn't specifically Jet. In IDW she makes Jet rescue Jewel and later on she stops Jet from bullying Jewel to convince him to let her hang out with them.
