On the other hand, if I'm playing a game or something and I see the line, "This guy are sick," yeah, I still got the basic idea from it, but because it's jarring it takes you out of the moment. No, grammar doesn't matter that much in a basic conversation, but it does matter a lot when it comes to creating works to avoid detracting from them, yes even dumb little doodles.
