The entire Core 4 have a serious problem between the intended concepts behind how they are meant to be, and what actually gets displayed on-screen most of the time. Sonic Team doesn’t see a problem with how the characters in IDW are depicted because they still work within the notes they gave the writers. The problem is the notes are bare minimum and leave massive gaps that the Archie writers are relatively free to fill with their old fanfiction and dubisms.
