While certain character's still do have unique attributes whenever a drive move is the best option in a situation it is normally the best option for all characters which further removes that character's identity. Anything you want to use those moves for you used to have to use more character specific moves.

If they have a projectile, the plan is rarely to keep you out, instead it's to move behind it to do the same thing. Almost every knockdown leads to oki so you rarely reset to neutral. They don't have things like cr.mk hit confirm into special where a character might confirm into a fireball that doesn't knockdown and another might confirm into a launcher, instead it's cr.mk yolo send it into DR which will always lead to a combo on hit that knocks down into oki. They all have similar blockstrings, similar approaches with drive rush, similar combo structures, with few exceptions they mostly want to save meter for level 3 super which is always just a cinematic damage dump, etc.
