DICE insider and I know most of you will assume I'm lying but that's ok. I just need to get this shit off my chest.Internally, there is a lot of freaking out about female skins in BF6. It goes way deeper than just "no female NATO support!" complaints online.Each skin developed costs between $10k to $20k and that's with all the AI slop being pushed out. The problem is when they drop $10k on a female skin, NOBODY buys them.Season 1 they released a bundle that was two black women. No one internally had an issue with it. We all figured it would do just fine.That bundle was the lowest selling microtransaction in EA history.Not Battlefield history.Not DICE history.Out of everything EA has sold post launch after a game was released, it was the lowest selling item ever.

We watched the metrics of players rushing to unlock him. Many even bought tier skips which can cost up to $30 depending on what they've unlocked already.But when they got the unlock, nobody played "him" because after a few minutes players realized it's a woman. Mackenzie went from being the most sought after skin for Season 1 to being rarely played. Even midway through Season 1 we saw a huge drop off in players playing with her. So less people sought the skin/bought the tier skips.

why is map design so homogenized in bf6? every conquest map has the same general flag and base placement on it. what happened to maps like wake, sharqi, oman, karkand, etc? theres no map where you can push the enemy off of it completely. no map where you spawn on a carrier a decent distance from the frontlines and have to traverse there to get it while defenders start with all control points. every map is flags at an equal distance from each other and then everyone blobs in the middle.
