So essentially you can ignore the gen 1 affixes and use gen 2 affixes for everything once teams are complete - but in the interim it just makes things extra complicated as you need to build constructs up to run in more teams. So what's the point of this? I thought affixes were supposed to slow down powercreep and now we have affixes powercreeping themselves?

Huh, the babylonia section of Rosetta's story was pretty good, aside from the conflict coming out of nowhere (maybe I'm missing context from the roguelike) the writing was good, the NPCs talking about memes was very obvious foreshadowing, Zack's dialogue was very fitting for a ruler type character and also interesting, surprisingly relevant with all everything going on in politics across the globe too. And of course the presentation was great, clearly taking everything they learned from wuwa and applying it here, seems like they realized that the large areas are what causes the performance drop, the story area was compact and because of that it ran smooth like butter.Of course these 3D stories have their own limitations like having to model and animate everything and VA scheduling becomes an issue, but the extra immersion of seeing Babylonia alive compared to the VN format really makes it worth it, so I hope they do it more in the future if the situation fits it.Time to read the actual story and see if the people whining about the story have an actual point or are making shit up again.

Alright just finished Rosetta's chapter, and I am now convinced that the people whining about the story have the memory of a goldfish and can't follow the grander plot to save their lives. They have been doing this "episodic story while building a bigger conflict that explodes into a grand climax where Kuro goes all out" since the literal start of the game, 1-11 with 12 Kowloong Metropolis climax, 13-16 with 17 The Surviving Lucem climax, 18-20 with 21 Spiral of Chronos climax, 22-25 with 26 Cradle Parade climax, 27-30 and then a massive 31-33 climax that connects everything they have been building up since chapter 13 (where Gary's headaches and schizo episodes start). Of the recent chapters Rosetta's connects the most to previous arcs, from bringing back the memetics theme to also retroactively making the ARU scientists more competent.
