Arc is fucking boring. I do not find it engaging to wander around with gamerdads talking about work while killing nigh-defenseless robots. You get three guys with Hullcrackers, and anything except the actual raid-like boss is going to die immediately. I was farming Rocketeers and Bombadiers. What is supposed to be the most terrifying enemies in a regular map, and these two uncs and myself bent them over.I got bored and uninstalled after that match. Running around like a rat in Marathon, scraping together gear with constant threat, is immensely more engaging than anything I experienced in Arc. The shoot on sight may be sweaty, but it’s so much more engaging than fucking gamerdad water cooler chat simulator.

I dont get itWhat's the appeal of the loot system in this game? Escape From Tarkov has it down so well. My dopamine and eyes light up the moment I see a SR-25, MCX-SPEAR or M60 Light Machine Gun in a military gun crate, even something as mundane as weapon attachments or bullets have me feeling good and especially when you find stuff like that in on Scav runs. I just didn't get the same feeling playing Marathon, and it kind of feels like you have too much access to already decent stuff. I guess the game just doesn't feel like a extraction shooter, it just feels like a battle royale.
