I remember hearing talk of dota pros discussing Deadlock's tournament potential. Vaguely iirc they spoke that whoever is top now, theyre good in a mechanical level. But when real tournaments pop, theyre a different beast, you can be good mechanically but those t-matches have their own meta within current meta patches. sometimes the way tournaments are offically played become mainstream to be played the same way. This is no different in dota and deadlock has potential to follow since a lot of the same game logic applies to deadlock. Speaking mainly if a "top" team of deadlock players could chance against a team of dota pros. majority of dota pros being tournament players, if there was time to prepare, the dota pros would walk over them.
