What is the advantage of having crafting professions over just having two gathering professions? Gold quality herbs and ores are worth over 100 gold each and they are fairly common to get once you gain enough knowledge. Even nocturnal lotus are starting to become fairly common while herbing. You spend only an hour gathering and you can very easily afford to have a crafter make you whatever you want and still have gold and materials left over. Never had an issue with immediately finding a crafter even if I only offer a tiny 10k tip. Is there much of any profit margin if you don't gather the materials yourself?
