Rodya's lack of development has nothing to do with it, the dungeon just happens, we see her memories and that's it. It comes out of nowhere beyond being the obligatory part of a Canto and it goes nowhere because she has nothing to face. Sonya is not an antagonist or a real character in context of Canto 2, Baba Yaga is a random abno and there's nothing else in the dungeon worth noting.
