So she's not some wacko like most Sith, so it's refreshing that the writers actually found an enjoyable middle ground with someone who is evil and ruthless, but is self disciplined and pragmatic.Her voice actor is also great. Lydia Leonard loves the role and has done tons of interviews, and I love her accent.She's reasonably powerful, but is not a mary sue. She fights Vaylin at one point, but the game makes it clear she was going to lose and was going to be dead if it took even a few more seconds for you to get to her to help. The game does glaze her from time to time like when she fights a dozen knights of Zakuul at once or when she's just so super duper smart that she automatically becomes Director even after defecting from the Empire they just want her back so badly, but despite a few things like that, overall she's mostly grounded, in a game where some people are literally destroying entire planets at once.Her eyes are so pretty.

Inquisition's problems were mostly gameplay orientated, it got a bit repetitive and many of the non-quest activities were just collecting things. But Inquisition was still an overall fine game because the story was good, the characters were interesting (Bull was a bad outlier), had some great quests like the Orlais mission, it mostly respected the lore, and actually had good drama in Tresspasser.Veilguard tears down every plotline set up by the previous games, it doesn't even use a save import system since they just didn't give a shit, Morrigan can't comment on something like her son or her interactions with Flemeth from the previous games because no save import means the game doesn't know if you did these things, the dialogue is actually outright shit with characters like Bellona making marvel quips about killing ogres while in the other games they were presented as legitimate threats, and the entire setting is wrapped up into a handful of actors just doing everything which felt so lame after over a decade of creating lore and a branching setting and storyline. The entire thing was childish and poorly written, but in a way that took knowledge to destroy. As in, an amateur writer stabbing in the dark would have just written a milquetoast story, the damage Veilguard did to Dragon Age required someone familiar with Dragon Age, they reached back and changed things from previous games and the overall background of the setting that a random amateur writer wouldn't have know. Someone destroyed Dragon Age, and I don't say that to be dramatic.
