>>559641835I left off half of what I was saying because it got interrupted by me thinking about how bad her kit is. The problem is that the sheer amount of effort Holliday has to put to actually contribute at a baseline in a higher level games compared to someone like say, Pocket, Paige, Rem, etc. makes her a functionally worse character by default. She has a very high skill floor but doesn't contribute much if she reaches it since other characters still do what she does better, which is the worst spot you can be in a shooter or ASSFAGGOTS. For example, her lasso is a shitty skillshot tether-stun that loses its entire CD if she misses, only stuns them for a couple of seconds at most, meanwhile Celeste can miss hers and get half the CD refunded, and if it lands, massively disrupts a team fight and shits out damage while forcing enemies to disengage until it runs out. Meanwhile, Mo and Krill can do her lasso but better, can't miss it, can actually damage them and use other abilities, gets defensive buffs, AND gets a permanent, stacking buff on kill. Her headshot passive also does not synergize at all with the rest of her kit, is rather hard to land because her bullet speed isn't high enough to make it consistent (especially considering Geist has a similar revolver with a much higher velocity than her and doesn't even have a headshot passive), and when you do land it, it's still got a ridiculous cooldown for the damage it does. The only interesting part of her kit is her barrels and bounce pads, but the problem is that the barrels have such terrible physics and trajectories than the only real way to use them effectively is to punch them while airborne because it's the only way you can actually guarantee a direct hit onto a target rather than trying to do a janky-two part interaction. Her character is also completely at odds with her kit, since she's a jaded sheriff trying to track down a killer instead of a mad coot prospector.

Played 8 games with Shiv today and lost every single one. My last run pre-patch with him was 7-4. Because even pre-patch you could still contend in the middle of a brawl, even if you did fuckall damage, because your healing was good.
