One of the major reasons this meta sucks so hard is that there are like 4-5 decks that completely dominate the entire game to which you need to play a specific counters against that are useless against any other of those, and in bo1 format it's just not possible... Another problem is that they are so overpowered that you either open said counter or lose majority of the time. We need some serious banlist after this cup that actually makes some proper balancing because I'm on the verge of uninstalling this one turn game.

Taking the meta pill may not always be the solution unless you don't care about it as much as me, if you do, it's best to look for some rogue deck that has unorthodox playstyle, can generate lots of card advantage through draw spells, is special in some ways to be able to compete to somewhat level, Endymion, Sky Striker, Vaylantz Dracoslayer Pendulum, Floo, Infernoid (as long as it doesn't brick lmao), Drytron, Dinomorphia are good examples.

They certainly aren't gonna do anything about the dominus, altho a semi limit on impulse is at least realistic following OCG. Limiting swamp deity sounds nice, but they'll just put the next best negate trap in. A double limit on temple and swamp would be really good, this was done in dice rally and it really cut the grind power down of the deck, but I just don't see them doing it yet.

Yummy and Dracotail can be countered as long as you time your disruptions well (and also keep DT from using Rahu or Ketu, otherwise they will fuse Urgula and start to trade favorably for eternity). I don't play floodgates because I find them boring.
