I think I'm starting to realize that the only way left for me to cope is to convince myself that no one is my friend anymore. I have to treat everyone I meet online as no more than coworkers. Nobody shows any signs for caring about me even if I initiate, I try to find things to talk about, I try to check up, I try to invite and include, I ask questions, I do everything I can to keep a bare minimum friendship existing. It's never reciprocated. I get unenthusiastic one word replies, I get ghosted, I get skipped, I get trash talked behind my back, I'm rarely given attention or affection, I'm treated like a third wheel at best.I want to give up. Just give up. It seems really really appealing to become another solo player that never takes responsibility, only accepts invites if they ever happen and only reply with short sentences or single words. This seems to be the norm now.
