>>560258612shaman is okay. if its "bad" its usually because its like 5% worse than the meta, or vice versa if its "good". dont be too swayed by balance and meta talk, a lot of influencers earn their bread and butter over outrage bait, and a lot of people get suckered into repeating their opinions on forums too. if you're enjoying it, play it, none of them are so bad that you cant take them all into the endgame. on restro shaman, its a good meat and potatoes fundamentals healer. push button, get heal. no crazy gimmicks or complicated combos or predictive healing. 1 person lost health? push your single target heals. multiple people lost health? push your aoe heals. its that simple. shaman also brings a pretty broad toolbox of utility compared to other healers so it can tailor to specific encounters or dungeons/raids very well when it needs to, and brings a lot to a group. it also doesnt have any zany positional nonsense requirements like holy paladin or pres evoker, and doesnt require melee like mistweaver, its just a good ol fashioned stand back and cast spells healer which makes it easier in a lot of ways. one very big and often overlooked part of healing though. your most powerful heal on any healer is your cleanse. use it often, put it on a button where you can easily reach it, watch for cleansable debuffs and dots. cleansing an effect is much more efficient and easy than trying to heal through it, and its one of those things that a lot of newer healers dont focus on because they are more worried about just keeping healthbars up and learning the kit.

I leveled a preist by herbing almost entirely, Did half my first 90, a hunters leveling by Mining/herbing and my warrior by mining/cloth farming.Its not "Optimal" but its a nice balance of speed, gold made while leveling and breaking up the monotony of questing or dungeon spam. Mostly its because it generate both XP and also significant, subscription paying gold at the same time.Every alt I do this on is a month of my sub payed for and really it only takes ~12-15 hours played to do. Obviously someones gonna chime in here about how I could work at mcdonalds and it would be more optimal, but they are retarded and don't actually like playing games which is why they advocate that you pay real money to not play a game that you have apid money for access to and they simply want the clout and "Prestige" of having completed a particular game, because they are mind broken by nu gamer attention seeking culture.
