Meta decks don't tend to see big leaps in strength because what actually happens is the previous meta deck gets hit on the banlist to make room for the new one that's about as strong. But rogue decks also slowly get better over time and those don't get hit which raises the general power level of the game over time.

Lately I've started questioning keeping SP in VS K9 deck. According to HIS site, it's used in 95% of decks posted there, but when I think about it, I almost never use it. Rock would be ideal material, but it can't be used for links, your XYZs are usually either destroyed before you can use them and with VS card you'd rather keep them on field over summoning SP, so it only makes sense to summon her with leftover K9 cards. I feel like extra Ripper or Hound would be better replacement
